Prenatal Yoga for Preventing Diastasis Recti

Biomechanist Katy Bowman defines diastasis recti as "an unnatural distance between the right and left halves (of the rectus abdominis), meaning that one (or both) of the halves has pulled away from the midline of the body." It can occur as a result of pregnancy as force from the growing baby and postural alignment are placed forward into the abdominals. This practice explores ways of preventing or minimizing DR.
